About Us
Welcome to the Maidstone Film Society based at the Hazlitt Theatre in the heart of Maidstone town centre. Showing a diverse range of world cinema from classics of yesteryear to contemporary greats, a collection of twelve films run from September through to April with screenings on Monday evenings at 7:30pm.

The theatre has seating available for around 350 people. Parking is available under the nearby Fremlin Shopping Centre, with its entrance in Earl Street and a special fixed rate after 7pm.

BRIAN & CHARLES is a British comedy in which a lonely self taught inventor living in rural England builds an AI robot named Charles who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages. Made with genuine affection and innately British whimsy, this is really just an odd-couple comedy about two lonely blokes — one of whom has a “washing machine for a tummy”.
